Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to one more week before spring break.
This week’s staff shout-out goes to the amazing Ms. Kim, one of our 7th grade social studies teachers. I had the privilege of spending some time in Ms. Kim’s classroom this week, and I was especially impressed with how knowledgeable, nurturing and calm she is with students. Her passion for teaching and love for Cornerstone is evident from the moment you walk in. She’s a relatively new addition to the CSA family, and we hope she’s here to stay for many years to come. Thanks, Ms. Kim! Keep up the great work!
Speaking of great work…come see what our talented CSA artists have been up to this year! The SBISD Spring Art Show is at the AYAM behind WAIS. These CSA students have amazing art on display! Please see the attached flyer from Mrs. Pena and Mrs. Valore. spring show 20 generic.pdf
Earlier this week, you should have received an email regarding the change in our bell schedule for next year. Just to recap, CSA will change our start time to 8:00 a.m. and our dismissal time to 3:30 p.m. Additionally, we will no longer have monthly early dismissal days. I have attached the letters, and, should you have any questions, we are here to help. AOC CSA WAIS-Families PB-SV.pdf AOC CSA WAIS-Families Spanish-SV Final.pdf
Every week gets us closer and closer to our fantastic Birthday Bash celebration. Pre-registration, ticket pre-sales, and volunteer opportunities are LIVE! You should have received your parent information packet on during student-led conferences. If you didn’t, please email firstname.lastname@example.org Be sure to take advantage of the pre-sale incentives to get extra raffle tickets. There will be fantastic items in the raffle and in the silent auction. From mechanical bull riding to henna designs to donut bobbing, you will also want plenty of tickets to experience all the fun activities. This is a fabulous way to support our school and enjoy some family fun. Visit the Birthday Bash website for all the details. charityauction.bid/csabdaybash2020
With the flu, strep and everything else going around, Nurse Roy would like to remind everyone about good practices – frequent handwashing, cover your cough, and stay home if you’re feeling ill. Please see the link for more information. (https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/when-how-handwashing.html )
Just a reminder…last minute transportation changes and reminders for students need to be received before 2:30 p.m. Our front office staff works very hard to make sure everyone gets messages and ends up in the right spot, and your help with this is very appreciated.
8th graders headed to Spring Woods HS next year have an opportunity to attend a summer strength and conditioning program. Please see the attached flyer for more information. SAC FLYER MS.jpg
