CSA Chess Team

On Saturday, the CSA chess team made up of Matthew Fenz, Mario Reyes, and Cole Tanner competed at the TH Rogers Chess Tournament. With 538 players in the tournament, it ended up being a long day. Our team did very well, with each boy earning at least 2 points for a group effort of 7.5 points, quite a respectable score. Cole Tanner earned a trophy for 7th place in his section.
All 3 boys fought hard and played with honor, and we want to give a special shout-out to Mario Reyes, as he performed very well in a tough section at his very first tournament.
Most teams had more than 3 members, so maybe more CSA chess players will join the fun at the next tournament, probably at the end of January.
