Celebrations from  CSA Chess Team

Saturday, September 15, the CSA chess team competed in their first tournament of the 2018/19 school year at Awty International School. First we’d like to welcome our new team members, Matthew He in 6th grade and Roby Wood in 7th grade. They made valuable contributions to our overall score. Everyone faced tough competition, but those are the challenges that help you learn. Matthew Nemoto, 7th grade, earned a trophy, tying for 7th place in his division. Cole Tanner, 7th grade, was recognized for having competed in 10 tournaments in his career so far.
Our team fought hard, played fair, and were wonderful representatives for Cornerstone. We are very proud of them, and are already looking forward to the next tournament.

The next tournament will be December 8 at TH Rogers, and we hope more students will join in the fun.
